Role of PIL in Protecting and Promoting the Rights of the Disadvantaged in India: A Critical Analysis
(National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam) Biswas, Partha Shankar; Nath, Himangshu Ranjan
Public interest litigation has historically been an innovative judicial procedure for enhancing the social and economic rights of disadvanataged and marginalized groups in India. It has a vital role in the civil justice system in that it could achieve those objectives which could hardly be achieved through conventional private litigation.
