It analyzes judicial perspectives, the impact on the accused, and the challenges in distinguishing between false promises and breaches of promise. The study is limited to the Indian legal context and may not apply to other jurisdictions. It relies on case law and judicial interpretations, which can be subjective. Access to empirical data on the impact on accused individuals is challenging, and societal biases may influence findings. Proposed legal reforms are theoretical and may not fully address practical implementation issues.
