This study aims to investigate the phenomenon of corporate greenwashing in the Indian legal context. The scope of the study encompasses an examination of regulatory frameworks, industry practices, and market dynamics related to greenwashing, as well as an exploration of potential solutions to address this issue. The research will provide a comprehensive understanding of the problem and propose recommendations for regulatory reforms and investor protection measures Despite the comprehensive approach taken in this study, there are certain limitations to consider. Greenwashing can be subtle and multifaceted, making them challenging to identify and analyse comprehensively. Understanding consumer behaviour and perceptions towards greenwashing may be influenced by various socio-economic factors, which may not be fully captured.
